Tara Nashville Flowers

 Purple Poppy

I have seriously become addicted to these beautiful handmade hair flowers by my talented friend, fellow blogger Tara Nashville. I recently stayed with her and she gave me a few whilst I was there with Winter and OH MY GOSH, they're amazing!

I find it so hard to find good quality handmade flowers that don't fall a part or look 'tacky' looking or overpriced. Each hair piece is made with good quality flowers and attached to a sturdy crocodile clip. I've been wearing a couple of them the last few days and they didn't fall out or need adjusting at all. I have had a few people ask me if these are real flowers in my hair. That's when you know when someone has done there research of high quality pieces to sell that actually last. But also look REAL.

Tiga-Lily and Alstroemerias hair flower (My favourite!!)

Previous hair pieces I've purchased have even fallen a part after a few wears or frayed around the edges. When you pay a bit more than the usual, you'd expect to have something that will last.

Beautiful Sunflower

Hair flowers are the perfect way to finish off a hair style.  They're also great to stick in your hair on a super lazy day or hide an imperfection from a style that hasn't worked out. That's pretty much how my hair styles are these days with not a lot of time with a 2 month old baby! Ha!

My Tara Nashville Flower Collection

No order placed is too big or too small and is open to custom orders if you don't see something you're after on the website. Make sure you follow Tara Nashville on her Instagram for the latest creations and purchase them here. She's currently got discount on the large blue roses for the month of April for Autism Awareness. I already have my eye on a few more I'll be purchasing! I mean you can never have enough hair flowers, right? :)

Outfit Details
Atomic Cat Cardigan: Voodoo Vixen (similar on sale) // Skirt: Lindy Bop // Tights: Primark // Patent Shoes: Black Irella by Bait Footwear // Skunkboy Posey Pink Glasses: Bonlook

As I'm awaiting my baby boys arrival any day now, I found this post in my drafts that I didn't get around to posting last year. I thought seeing as my next few posts will possibly be baby related that I'd post this for you.

My day has been a pretty chilled out one and getting the last few bits together for my hospital bag. I
got up early, made myself breakfast and a cup of tea. I chilled out in my room for a bit with Pumpkin whilst watching the last few episodes of Season 7 of Gilmore Girls. It's been a Netflix day to say the least.

I've been taking it easy the last week or so, as baby boy is laying on a nerve in my back which has become horrendously painful!! :( Thankfully it's not so bad today and keeping my fingers crossed the pain stays at bay. I know I have a lot more pain coming my way but being able to move about would be ideal.

Baby's boys due date is fast approaching and I already have my 40 week midwife appointment this coming Monday, if he doesn't make an appearance by then. Please don't be too late little one! :)

Highlights of 2016

Image result for happy new year
 (Image taken from Pinterest)

It's been a while since I have opened my MacBook to sit down to write a blog post, I have good reason for being so MIA the last 6 months. I'm pregnant with our first baby, a boy and due any day now. As my clothes started not to fit me, my confidence went out the window. Thus not posting much due to not feeling comfortable. It has been quite a roller coaster but so excited to have my little one in my arms! I mean newborn cuddles are the best right?!

I'll be doing in depth post of my whole experience with my pregnancy. The good, the bad and the things they don't tell you about!

For the time being here are my highlights of 2016

Starting the year reviewing some of my favourite accessory brands Luxulite here and Femme De Bloom here

Posting about my favourite Pinup Girl jenny skirt before I couldn't fit into anymore due to growing bump! ha!

Sweet n Sour Vintage
Being sent a stunning handmade dress by the lovely Natalie of Sweet n Sour Vintage.

After years of trying for a baby and luck not going our way, we decided to adopt our sweet little Pumpkin. He's a dapple mini dachshund and was born on 18th February 2016 in France. (We collected him beginning of June, as we had to wait for him to have all his jabs and passport first.) Bonjour!

Pregnancy Announcement
The following month we found out we were expecting our rainbow baby due January 2017. We announced it in the Summer, after making sure everything was OK with baby. Definitely the best moment so far during 2016!

It's A Boy!
Finding out at our 20 week scan we were having a boy!! Feeling overjoyed and grateful to be having a healthy baby we'd longed for.

Baby Shower
Having a beautiful Autumnal pumpkin themed baby shower organised by my bestie Claire. Spending time with my favourites, receiving lovely baby gifts and enjoying delicious food at Nannas Kitchen. Finished off with homemade spiced pumpkin cinnamon rolls!

My handmade baby shower invites made by yours truly :)

Tiny but Mighty
My Aussie friend Donna gave birth to her beautiful baby boy Oliver at 24 weeks due to complications. Our boys were due at the same time so this has been something that I hold close to my heart.

I set up a Go Fund Me to raise money to support them travelling to visit Oliver and to make sure they had everything they needed. Amazing generous peeps managed to raise over $11,000 Aussie dollars in 2 months. Truly grateful for everyone's support for my baby boys best friend!

He's now a healthy weight and although there's still a long road ahead, Oliver will be going home in the next few weeks!

Favourite Season
Halloween being my favourite holiday and wearing all the pumpkins themed accessories. I had to document feeling pretty that day!

Walks with Pumpkin
Walks with my mini best friend up until the last week or so, as I can't walk far due to my awfully painful back ache!

Bump progression
Watching my bump grow every week and morning sickness finishing. Thank goodness. That was not fun and definitely not just in the morning. They should rename it all day sickness!!

28th August - 20 weeks

18th September - 23 weeks

9th October - 26 weeks

16th October - 27 weeks

23rd October - 28 weeks

30th October - 29 weeks

13th November - 31 weeks

 4th December - 34 weeks

25th December - 37 weeks on Christmas Day!

1st January - 38 weeks and 4 days!

And now we wait for baby G's arrival with his due date being in 11 days. I'm feeling excited, nervous and in pain but all will be worth while! Now hurry up baby we want to meet you!!

Sweet n Sour Vintage

I don't know about you but I love finding new Etsy shops that sell vintage reproductive handmade pieces. I was recently browsing Instagram and came across Sweet n Sour Vintage to find a stunning dress that caught my eye with a sweetheart neckline! Every detail of the dress was how a 1950's dress should be made. Perfect length, nipped in waist and of course made from beautiful vintage fabric. Everything a vintage-loving girl could ask for, right!?

Natalie the lovely lady who owns the online store became Instagram friends and she offered to make me a custom dress of my own. Girls, how could I say no to that! We spoke via email to get my measurements, choose fabrics, my desired length of the dress and what style I'd like. I choose to go for the Gaia dress that was the same pattern as the dress I had spotted on her page. I picked a tartan vintage fabric, as I don't own any tartan dresses and knew instantly I'd wear it throughout Summer.

Outfit Details
Gaia Dress: c/o Sweet n Sour Vintage // Cardigan: Primark (from last year) // Belt: Taken from my Pinup Girl Clothing - Katie dress // Brooch: Pink Collar collab (no longer available) - Luxulite // Shoes: Irella in Black by Bait Footwear // Bag: Vintage Etienne Aigner // Glasses: Skunkboy in Posey Pink by Bonlook (currently Out of Stock) // Lipstick: Lime Crime in shade Beetroot // Rings: BMM except my engagement ring.

I've been waiting for the weather here in the UK to be dry so I could run out to take some photos. The day I ventured out ended up being windy but hey it wasn't rain so I rolled with it, just excuse the wind swept hair! ;)

Now I didn't want to over accessorise this dress so kept it simple. A trusty Luxuite brooch that was a part of the Pink Collar ladies collaboration, my go-to sparkly glasses and a vintage bag. I loved the overall look and look forward to changing it up a little once it's warmer here to wear without those darn tights! Ha! The fit of the dress was a little big in the bust and shorter than my regular dresses I wear. But nothing a few tweaks to make it the perfect fit! Overall I love it and cannot wait to purchase a few more to add to my closet.

If you'd like to purchase your own custom made dress by Sweet n Sour Vintage, Natalie has kindly given me a discount code of 40% off for you to use until end of May. Simply add LULUS at the checkout. Leave in the comments if you purchase one and what style you've gone for! Also tell me where you love to shop for vintage inspired pieces?
