Wedding Favour Ideas - Part One

For the past few months I've been browsing blogs for ideas on wedding favors. I came across a couple that were making truffles. I love truffles and what girl doesn't love chocolate! Here is a recipe for White chocolate and Nutella truffles. These i came across on A Beautiful Mess and I thought I'd make some to see how they turn out. They turned out great! A tad bit messy but totally worth it :)

Here is the recipe to make your own - White Chocolate and Nutella Truffles makes around 10-12

Ingredients you'll need are the following

7 oz of Dark chocolate
1 tablespoon Butter

1/4 cup Double cream

1/3 cup Nutella

2 cups White chocolate chips

1 tablespoon oil (I used vegetable)
Chocolate sprinkles (optional

Place a bowl over boiling water in a pan and melt together the first four ingredients. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. If you leave the mixture in the refrigerator for longer than 2 hours, it will likely become too firm to work with. So just allow it to soften at room temperature until you can.

Using a melon baller or a teaspoon to form balls. Cover your hands with cocoa powder, this will stop the chocolate mix sticking to your hands. Once you have all the truffles formed, place in the freezer for 5-10 minutes. In the mean time put the white chocolate chips and oil in a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 30 secs at a time or until all the chocolate has melted.

Now dip each truffle in the melted chocolate to coat it, then place on a sheet of grease proof paper or baking paper. Add chocolate sprinkles as you go, adding as much as you like, before the white chocolate has time to set. I drizzled on just a little more chocolate to the top. Let these set over night or pop in them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Hope you like them! Let me know what you think :)
I'm going to try and do 'Wedding favor' ideas regularly so watch this space for more.

Much love
