Wedding Make Up Trial

My beautiful friend Chloe came round last week to do my make up trial for the wedding. She brought round some homemade gluten free lemon sponge cakes which we enjoyed with a cup of tea. After a little chat we got the dining room table set out with all of Chloes make up kit. Its amazing seeing all different kind of colours of eye shadows, lipsticks and blushers etc.

I'd been 'pinning' ideas onto my Pinterest and was looking forward to seeing what ideas Chloe had in mind too. Chloe worked at MAC for a couple of years and has done London Fashion Week a few times, as well as freelancing. She is also a talented artist and we have quite a few of her paintings in our home. Were very lucky to have amazing friends who have skills!

We talked about colours and anything new i'd like to try. I've always worn liquid eyeliner since i was 15 so wanted to keep that but have a pretty eye shadow to have my make up a bit different. I don't normally wear any other colour shadow other than cream as a base before putting my eyeliner on. We choose a colour and i let her do what she felt would work. Chloe suggested trying some fake lashes which i'd only ever tried once. These were really nice individual ones so i didn't look like barbie which was good!

I was a bit worried about trying them as i wear glasses but they looked lovely with them on. I'm still going to wear my glasses on my big day as i don't like wearing contacts and i didn't want to change the way i am. I'm going to purchase a new pair of glasses to fit in with my colour scheme and my dress. After a couple of hours of trying different shades we finally found the style i liked. This has made it even more exciting now i know what my make up is going to be like. Excited!!

Sookie hiding! She wanted to get involved haha! :)

Much love
