Run Rabbit Run..

Hello dears,

I've been pretty down the last few weeks as I've been out of work recently so i thought to clear my head I'll start doing a mile a day or more of walking. I did my first brisk walk/jog on Tuesday and i managed 4 miles in an hour. I'm no runner so i thought start of slowly and jog for 5 minutes then walk, alternating between the two until my heart rate levels out. It was such a lovely sunny day and that made me feel instantly better. They say when the sun is out more people are happy, its so true! It was still a little breezy but once i got walking i didn't feel it. I did another 4 miles out in the country with my Mum on Wednesday and i ended up with blisters. We walked from my parents house in Nether Heyford to Bugbrooke and back again. Boy it was hard with a few big hills and uneven roads, I really do need to get myself a pair of decent walking/running trainers. Yesterday i didn't go out due to my feet hurting and not having the correct footwear so i did a work out at home. A day to relax and look after my feet.

I would love your advice- Do any of my readers go running? Any tips on how to get better at it? Advice on trainers to wear?

Much love
Lulu xx

  1. Good for you LuLu! I sympathize with you as I have lost my job also which is the reason I started my blog, to give me a productive outlet and something to smile about..I don't run, but I do take our dogs for nice long, brisk walks when the sun is shining and it always improves my mood!
Keep up the good work! (and keep your chin up, they say "when one door closes.. another one opens!)

  5. I love walks. :) Just today my mom and i walked downtown to the post office and library. Such a nice sunny day here and so Spring like!
I don't do much running unless i have to. :) I think walks are a wonderful way of exercise if you walk briskly. :)
Do you have Keen shoes in the UK? I just got some a month ago and they are super comfy. They are also very cute which is perfect for me as i don't like sporty shoes. Hard to find good walking shoes that are cute.
