After having lunch in Hornchurch we headed back into London where we would be staying for the weekend, after having a little nap at our friends house we headed to Stratford for a mooch around the Westfield shopping centre. Whilst walking around in the center it had started to rain, we managed to dodge it until we got off the tube and got caught in the big thunderstorm getting absolutely soaked!
On Sunday we got up early and headed to the Natural History Museum which was amazing! I get so fascinated with the taxidermy & the glass jars of insects. We then headed to Brick Lane and had lunch on the steps near Rough Trade/Truman Brewary. We then headed to Covent garden were I brought Laduree french macaroons which were SO yummy! That evening we had a nice cold beer in one of the pubs near Carnaby Strret before having dinner at Nando's on Frith Street, our plan was to eat at the veggie/vegan restaurant Mildreds but they were closed on Sundays. (Insert sad face!)
We had the best time eating yummy food, visiting museums, visiting our fave vegan milkshake bar, enjoying french macaroons, getting pictures taken and spending time with our friends. I look forward to go going back end of the month!
I'll be doing a little post about what I got up to on my actual birthday over the weekend, until then have a lovely evening :)
