Outfit Of The Day - Autumn Squirrel Dress

How is it Sunday already!? This week has gone by soooo quick and I feel like I haven't had the chance to stop! After a busy day yesterday travelling up to Liverpool to get my Disney inspired tattoo started, it was nice to have a lazy morning before heading out to get some groceries. The weather has been pretty drab and raining most of the week so it was a total surprise to have sunshine today!

I don't know about you but I'm extremely excited about Autumn coming along! Don't get me wrong I love Summer and being able to wear pretty dresses in the sunshine. I just love being cosy, drinking PSL's and getting my craft on for Halloween! Hehe!

Today I wore the super cute squirrel print dress designed by the talented fabric designer Micheline Pitt of PUG. The detail is one of my favourite woodland animals squirrels, complete with all things Autumn (I think I've said Autumn a lot!) The fabric is comfy for all seasons and it has a little stretch in it for more comfort. This is definitely one of my favourite dresses I have in my closet. What can I say I'm a sucker for all things Autumn and this fits in perfectly!! My outfit wouldn't be complete without a Luxulite brooch.

Thank you to my darling husband for always helping me with taking these photos!

What have you been up to this weekend? Do you have a favourite dress in your closet?

Lucky Dip Club - My First Box!!

Yesterday I received my first 'Lucky Dip Club' package and I have been extremely excited about it arriving! I'd been waiting patiently for our post lady in the morning and I squealed with delight when it dropped through the letterbox! I'd been wanting to subscribe for a couple of months and was SO happy when I was able to sign up last month. I did however have a mare trying to complete my registration form due to my iPad being a pain in the butt! I got there in the end with the help of the lovely lady herself Leona via Twitter! Thank you! :)

If you don't know what this in tales its a monthly subscription where you get a package filled with a custom handmade necklace or brooch with your name on it, something vintage inspired and super cute stationary with a different theme each month. This months theme was 'Think Happy Ice Cream Parlour' so just by the name you know its going to be wonderful!

Sookie was intrigued when I started to open up my package and I smiled seeing the 'Think Happy' card. Its the little things that can put a smile on your face and the sweet little note on the back can make any grey day a happy one.
Anyone who knows me knows how much I'm obsessed with anything pastel so this ice cream sundae brooch ticked all the boxes for me! Plus its another cute brooch to add to my collection whoop! Can we just take a second to appreciate how fricking cool the ice cream custom name necklace is! OMG!
I was only telling my husband the other day how much I needed a new pad to note down ideas for my blog. The 'Think Happy' note pad and pencil is just what I needed! Bonus points for being pastel of course haha!
An adorable make up/stationary bag is the perfect size for travelling in your handbag and Sookie approved too. I couldn't help but add an out take of her wanting to get involved!
My first impressions of the box is amazing and definitely worth every penny. It will make any grey day a happy one. The idea of getting super cute treats through the post is awesome. Here are the full details of what we got this month-

  • Handmade Summer necklace with your name on it
  • A soft scoop sundae enamel brooch in dreamy pastels (Perfect!!)
  • A 'Think Happy' positive pencil in candy pink
  • A Sundae Girl travel pouch for make-up or stationary
  • A DIY ribbon & button kit to pimp up your pouch or jazz up your cardigan
You also get told on the note what the theme for next month is which is Magic Forest and I'm pretty excited for it already! I highly recommend to sign yourself up for the monthly subscription or if you just want to try it out get a one off box. To find out more and what the different box options are check it out here. I think I may start doing a monthly post of my un-boxing to show you ladies what the surprises are. What do you think?

I hope you're all having a wonderful bank holiday weekend everyone!

Lady Dinahs Cat Cafe & Rainbow Cake!

I don't know about you but I LOVE cats and love being a cat Mama to my Sookie. For some time now I've wanted to visit the cat cafe in London that opened earlier in the year. Paul and I went to the first ever cat cafe in London called Lady Dinah's on Wednesday though Sookie wasn't too happy about us visiting as it was her birthday on Wednesday too!

I'd been so excited about going as we had been waiting over 3 months to finally visit! The waiting list is around 2 months in advance depending on what day you want to go but it's super easy to book online and really inexpensive costing £5 per person which goes towards the well being of the cats. All 11 cats have two floors to roam around with plenty of toys and places to climb & relax. The staff are also super friendly which is always a bonus!

Love this!
Just look at Donnies cute face!!
Pretty Mue spying on the pigeons that were flying around outside.

For afternoon tea they had a selection of teas/coffees & soft drinks, sandwiches/bagels t choose from. We both decided to have salmon cream cheese bagels for lunch & later enjoyed sharing a huge slice of rainbow cake which was possibly the best cake I've ever eaten!! They had so many home-made cakes to choose from but I'd heard good things about the rainbow cake so couldn't say no to that. Once our food settled we had a play with the cats and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and with our new furry friends!

Adamska or Loki we couldn't tell?! Loved playing with the feathers!
 Everyone's favourite Wookie!
Sleepy Petra on top of this awesome book case for the cats.

We had a wonderful couple of hours and are definitely going back when possible. I highly recommend anyone who is a cat lover to visit Lady Dinah's as they have free spaces come available weekly so if you're in London, go!

Are you a cat lover? I'd love to know if you have cats!

My outfit details-
Black sheer top from H&M
Full circle skirt from Pin Up Girl Clothing
Sandals from Primark
Shell bag from Asos
Pastel brooch from Luxulite
Hair flower from H&M
