Birthday Adventures & A Squirrel Dress

As some of you may know if you follow me on Instagram, it was my 28th birthday a couple of weeks ago so my husband Paul and I ventured outta town for the night to Birmingham. We took the train after work the day before to go stay at this really cute eclectic hotel called Nite Nite. All of the rooms are in 6.8 square meters and consist all of this! I was totally blown away by how quirky the hotel was and loved the cosy little room we had. Yes that really is a floating bed frame used as a chandelier in the hotel lobby! Amazing!

After dropping off our suitcase we went for dinner at Five Guys which does the BEST grilled cheese and cajun fries!! I used the app whilst on the train to place our order so all we had to do was pick up our order and sit down. It reminded me so much of In-N-Out in the states complete with diner décor. They had the craziest drinks machine called Coca-cola freestyle that had over 100 different flavoured fizzy drinks and I think we drank about 2-3 each. My favourites were the strawberry and vanilla sprite and I highly recommend trying them out!

Sooooo many fries!!

I'm not even kidding when I say our bed was super comfy and I slept like a baby. I was asleep by 10pm and didn't wake up until 9am the morning of my birthday! I woke to a surprise birthday package by my long term pen pal and sweetest friend ever Madlyn. Paul managed to sneak it into the suitcase without me seeing and I was so happy to open all the little treats. She gifted me the cutest banner, birthday balloon, a map telling me all the places to visit at Disneyland and a hand made card complete with Sleeping Beauty's castle! I hope one day to spend a whole day eating doll whip and seeing everything possible on the map with M!

My birthday treats from Paul were two dresses from the amazing Pin Up Girl clothing that I said about in my Sunday post here and this is my squirrel print dress I was talking about. (If you love the squirrel print as much as I do, a similar one can be found on PUG here.)

Urmmm...Hello?! Amazing fricking awesome libray in the hotel lobby!! I'd like one in my next house please!

Trying my first ever bubble tea and I choose chai iced latte with original tapioca pearls. For those who don't know they are small marble sized balls which have a similar texture of a gummy bear. I loved it even though it made me chuckle every time I sucked through the fat straw! It was very weird but in a really good way and I cannot wait to go back :)

We ate a delicious lunch at Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant with a surprise bottle of bubbly and epic chocolate brownie as a birthday treat. They also made me go bright red in the face when all the waiter staff started singing Happy Birthday (whilst everyone watched) and presenting me with a candle in my brownie!

Have you ever tried a bubble tea before? What flavour is your favourite?
