Finding Neverland

(Always gotta check your lippy. Ha!)

Oufit Details

Striped top: Topshop // Neverland Jenny skirt: Pinup Girl Clothing // Canvas Underskirt: Pinup Girl Clothing // Vintage Brown Bag: Blonde Vintage Store London // Honeydukes Pin: Harry Potter Studios // Ione Yellow Heels: Bait Footwear // Skunkboy Posey Pink Glasses: Bonlook // Coral Pink Lipstick: Tom Ford

I absolutely adore this skirt and I'd say it's my favourite piece in my wardrobe, I mean just look at the Neverland novelty print! I'm a sucker for anything novelty and Disney related so this skirt was made for me. This was in fact my first purchase I got from Pinup Girl a couple of years ago and have been obsessed ever since. Now if you know me well enough you would know I'm a total girly girl and love Disney! Now the reason why I love this so much is because it was the first piece of clothing that made me feel... well me. I struggle with anxiety on a daily basis so for me anything that makes me happy and myself is a total bonus.

The fullness of the skirt is so divine and gives you a full effect even without a petticoat underneath. Though saying that I love my skirts big so I'm wearing my canvas underskirt. I find the fabric isn't too heavy, a slight stretch in the waist for extra comfort and the nipped in waist you want. Plus the quality like all PUG items are made to a very high standard. At $98 I know these may be a bit on the pricey end but it's totally worth every penny. I find waiting for sales or keeping an eye out on their Instagram for regular discount codes helps a lot. Now I'm just waiting for the day I can wear this to Disneyland!

Just bare in mind if you buy direct from PUGS website you will incur a custom fee if you live in the UK. Mine have normally been between £15-25 depending on the weight of your products. I normally save up twice a year and get a haul of items I've been lusting after on my current wish list. Though my sweet husband Paul will treat me on my Birthday, Wedding Anniversary to a dress or skirt. Bonus points to the hubby!

If you're not able to get your hands on the Honeydukes pin I'm wearing, you should head over to my sweet friend Femme De Bloom Etsy store. You'll find AMAZING Disney inspired brooches with earrings to match! Use discount code FEMMEWONDERLAND to get 25% off that's valid until end of the month. Grab yourself some goodies. You deserve it beautiful :)

Do you own any PUG or have anything on your wish list you'd love to buy?

All You Need Is Love

I'm treating you to another posts today because you know it's Valentines Day ;) The lovely Melanie of Femme De Bloom was kind enough to send me some of her handmade goodies. I was given the choice to pick out a couple of pieces that would work together and fit in with today. I decided to go with the Mickey 'All You Need Is Love' brooch and Disney castle earrings because Disney. Duh! As soon as I picked these out I just knew what I was planning to wear with them in mind. I adore my Cinderella Disney castle Jenny skirt from Pinup Girl Clothing so any excuse to break it out. I thought seeing as the skirt has the castle on it that it would go perfectly with the earrings. The brooch is super cute and works well with the pastel colour scheme I had going with plus I felt like a princess!!

Lucky Dip Club Donut Dinerette 1/12

Hooray for the start of this years Lucky Dip Club boxes!! What a cold and wet January it was and just think only 5 weeks left of Winter. WooHoo! January's theme was Donut Dinerette which features talented illustrator Mel Stringer artwork. I've been excited about this box after seeing a sneak peek of the 'Girl Gang' pin Leona shared on Instagram. Every piece in this months box has been designed by Mel exclusively for Lucky Dip Club. I gotta say donuts are my jam and not only that but its all pastel themed!

I've been loving the necklace and pretty much haven't took it off. What I love about the necklaces in these boxes is how good a quality they are. I get allergic reactions with most necklaces but with this one I haven't had any which instantly became a firm favourite of mine. Who doesn't love a good embroidery patch that is perfect for those days when you just 'Donut Care'. The only thing I have missing is a faux leather or jean jacket to add my patch too. Hmmm I think a charity shop hunt for one is on the 'to do' list. I also need to find the perfect pastel frame for my print. Any recommendations?

We also got the first issue of Girl Planet which features an array of talented peoples, what LDC loves, a DIY challange page (this months is: Donut Pinata) and an adorble Pet Corner page featuring Tiny Grey Cats gorgeous cat Molly Mayhem. A huge well done to Zabby whos the editor for an incredible first issue of Girl Planet :)

Here's the full details of what we got:
  • Girl Plant Issue 1
  • 'Donut Forget' Dry Wipe Magnet & Pen
  • Enamel Donut & Bow Necklace
  • 'Donut Forget' A5 Art Print
  • 'I Donut Care' Embroidery Patch
  • Donut Sticker Set
I can't really say I have a favourite for Januarys box as I LOVE everything. But us girls gotta stick together so the 'Girl Gang' pin was an awesome addition to add to my collection. Therefore I'd say that is my fave :) If you hadn't noticed already I made a slight typo error on my dry wipe magent...I put LCD instead of LDC. Whoops! It wasn't until I posted on my Instagram that I noticed HaHa!

If you're new to my blog and don't know what I'm going on about go to my first un-boxing here to find out all the details. If you love cute stationary, kitsch personalised accessories, overall cute stuff and want a surprise of goodies every month get yourself a box!! I highly recommend getting the monthly subscription so you don't miss out. Set your alarm for 7am on the 1st of every month to get your box!!!

See you next week for my Valentines post and don't forget to enter my giveaway with Luxulite that ends on 15th February! All giveaway details can be found here.
